The Tam Anh Research Institute plays a central role in advancing the “Education – Training – Research – Innovation” pillar of the Tam Anh – VNVC Healthcare Ecosystem. With a network of more than 68 GCP-certified research sites nationwide, the Institute brings together leading scientific and medical researchers from Vietnam and abroad to develop fundamental, clinical, epidemiological, and vaccine studies that contribute effectively to prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, thereby promoting comprehensive solutions for public health.

Tam Anh Oxford Partnership (TOP)

The collaboration between the Tam Anh Research Institute and the University of Oxford (Tam Anh Oxford Partnership – TOP) aims to deliver a comprehensive, effective and internationally standardised medical training programme to enhance research capacity among doctors and researchers within the Tam Anh – VNVC healthcare ecosystem and across Vietnam. Beyond its focus on training, TOP will also concentrate on developing and implementing high-impact applied research projects that contribute to addressing urgent health challenges in Vietnam.

Course Director of the MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine, Centre for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nuffield Department of Medicine, University of Oxford.
ASSOC. PROF. PROOCHISTA ARIANA is course director for the MSc in International Health and Tropical Medicine, Center for Tropical Medicine and Global Health, Nuffield Department of Medicine. Her research empirically examines the relationship between processes of development and health in resource limited and transition contexts, appreciating the multidimensionality of both. Proochista holds a Masters in International Health from Harvard University and a Doctorate in International Development from University of Oxford, as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, also from Oxford.

DR TRI LE PHUONG
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, TAM ANH RESEARCH INSTITUTE TAM ANH GENERAL HOSPITAL GROUP
Dr Tri Le Phuong is a surgeon and scientific researcher by training and has held various leadership positions at AstraZeneca across diverse medical fields, spanning Asia to the global level. He previously served as Chief Medical Officer cum Chief Representative at AstraZeneca Vietnam and has undertaken key roles for AstraZeneca. He has extensive experience in developing and managing clinical and epidemiological research studies. Dr Tri Le Phuong possesses a strong educational foundation, having been trained in Neuroscience at Brussels UZB University Hospital (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), Belgium; the Tazuke Kofukai Kitano Medical Research Institute, Japan; and in Drug Development Science at King’s College London, United Kingdom.
