Advancing cardiovascular imaging expertise with a leading european expert

On April 23, 2026, the Tam Anh Research Institute, in collaboration with the Tam Anh General Hospital Group, will host a specialized training program entitled “Cardiovascular Imaging Diagnosis”. The event features a keynote presentation by Prof. Dr. med. Matthias Gutberlet, a prominent European expert in the field of cardiovascular imaging.

Advancing cardiovascular imaging with european expert

Prof. Dr. med. Matthias Gutberlet currently serves as the Head of Diagnostic Imaging at the Leipzig Heart Center, Germany. Furthermore, he has held a full professorship in Cardiovascular Imaging at Leipzig University since 2007.

Throughout his career, Prof. Gutberlet has assumed significant international leadership roles, including President of the European Society of Cardiovascular Radiology (ESCR) and President of the Cardiovascular Radiology section of the German Roentgen Society (DRG). Additionally, he has made substantial scientific contributions to top-tier medical journals, such as European Radiology, Circulation, JACC, and the European Heart Journal.

With profound expertise in conventional X-ray, computed tomography (CT), multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), his direct guidance will equip attending physicians with contemporary diagnostic approaches and valuable clinical insights.

The program’s core scientific agenda includes:

• Multimodality imaging in cardiovascular disease (CT, MRI) and the role of the radiologist in structural heart teams.
• Clinical applications of cardiac MRI in cardiomyopathies.
• CT-based imaging planning for TAVI/TAVR procedures.
• The role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in cardiovascular imaging.
