Workshop On “Clinical Immunology Update”

Tam Anh Research Institute (TAMRI) and Tam Anh General Hospital in HCMC successfully organized the workshop titled “Clinical Immunology Update” on November 23, 2024.

The event attracted nearly 200 participants both in-person and online and featured numerous significant scientific presentations by esteemed medical experts from Sweden, the US, University Medical Center HCMC and Tam Anh General Hospital in HCMC.

Assoc. Prof. Hoang Thi Lam, MD, PhD – Head of Clinical Immunology Department at Tam Anh General Hospital in HCMC and Vice President of the Vietnam Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology Society, served as Chairperson. She presented several topics such as the role of antihistamines in treating allergic rhinitis, CAR-T therapy for refractory systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and biologic therapies for SLE.

Meanwhile international experts contributed engaging presentations, including updates on urticaria, angioedema and asthma.

The event provided invaluable insights into the fields of allergies and autoimmune diseases, equipping medical students, doctors, and healthcare professionals with the latest advancements in clinical immunology. It emphasized the importance of understanding and diagnosing allergies and autoimmune conditions, enabling the application of cutting-edge knowledge to enhance treatment effectiveness.
